Sleep Health for Children
Helping your family find a path to more restful nights.
Disruptions to sleep impact the entire family and can feel overwhelming, especially when you're tired. When you're ready to tackle your child’s sleep challenges and help your family feel rested again, I am here to help.
I have specialized training in the field of behavioral sleep medicine. I use behavioral, cognitive-behavioral, and other non-pharmacological interventions to treat sleep difficulties and sleep disorders in children, adolescents, and young adults. I also work closely with parents to educate them about the processes underlying disrupted sleep and to develop an individualized plan for improving their child’s sleep
Childhood sleep concerns that I help parents address include:
Difficulty falling asleep
Difficulty staying asleep overnight
Waking too early in the morning
Bedtime resistance
Nightmares
Sleep terrors, sleep walking, sleep talking
Helping children adjust to falling asleep on their own
Anxiety at bedtime
Transitioning from a crib to a bed
Child transitioning to sleeping in their own room
Difficulty waking in the morning
Currently sleeping at a time that doesn’t fit with the schedule needed for day-to-day activities
Difficulty wearing CPAP
